Company Description

With Japanese paintings and hanging scrolls as its centre, Kashima Arts mainly engages with Japanese art from the Edo period (1603–1868) to the present day.
In addition to the various exhibitions and sales events Kashima Arts hosts at its gallery and in miscellaneous venues (such as highly regarded department stores), Kashima Arts also supplies works to art museums and institutions nationwide.
Promoting medieval to modern Japanese calligraphy and paintings in Japan and overseas, Kashima Arts strives to accentuate the significance of these cultural artifacts.
Inheriting precious manifestations of past traditions, Kashima Arts serves to help preserve and sustain Japanese culture through art.
